Whoa. I am just blown away by the response to my post from January 10, Ozempic and Me, where I shared about my journey with the name-brand GLP-1 agonist Ozempic. It seems that a story of resistance against the weight loss machine has touched a nerve. That’s amazing!
Because of your response to the post, I’m unveiling something new: NO-ZEMPIC MONDAYS, an additional weekly installment of The Fat Dispatch available for paid subscribers. For just $7/month (the regular subscription price), you can be a part of the No-Zempic community and have access to all of this:
facts and news about GLP-1s
stories of how and why people have become disillusioned with these drugs
a chat feature in the Substack app for community support
helpful scripts for how to say “no” to GLP-1s to your healthcare provider
For those of you who need extra support on top of that, I’m offering one-on-one coaching for you through the Founding Member tier. Founding Members will get monthly 30-minute coaching sessions with me, a certified Body Trust® provider.
Who should join?
Maybe you’re in a larger body and don’t want to lose weight, even though your doctor says you should, because you recognize that weight cycling is harmful and you want to pursue Health at Every Size®.
Maybe you’re a diabetic and are currently taking a GLP-1 like Ozempic to control your blood sugar, but your doctor wants to up your dose (like mine does). You’re not sure about the side effects and you want some support in having a constructive conversation with your healthcare provider.
Maybe you’re a therapist or a dietitian who works with an Eating Disorder population and your clients need extra support outside of your visits. No-Zempic Mondays would be a great supplement to the work your care team is doing, for you and for your clients.
Maybe you’re just tired of all the ads and you want the mental support to say “no” to the weight loss complex.
Whoever you are, I believe that there is so much value to be found in becoming a paid subscriber to The Fat Dispatch and No-Zempic Mondays. On Fridays, you’ll get quality Fat Liberation content in your inbox, only to be quickly followed by No-Zempic Mondays.
**I want to reiterate that I am pro-body autonomy. I do not condemn you if you choose to use GLP-1s for weight loss—that is totally understandable. But I want to provide support for those of us who are not interested.**
If you have any questions about No-Zempic Mondays, please let me know! I’m happy to answer questions about my Body Trust® certification training or any other questions you may have about The Fat Dispatch.
The first installment will show up in paid subscribers’ inboxes on Monday, January 27.
Peace to all of you,
Amanda Martinez Beck

I'm not seeing HAES and people who are ok with their bodies, truly okay, using or supporting glp-1s, not even for diabetics. That's denial. I'm so sorry. The establishment wants to change our bodies. And people who aren't okay with theirs secretly want them to change, still, as well.
